Spatial Data Infrastructures (SDI) comprises a set of standards, processes and techniques to allow classification, organised seeking compiling several sources and distributing spatial information maximizing geographical data investments. By means of standardisation processes the data can be shared through the net. The leader organisation in SDI is the OGC (Open Gis Consortium allowing users a common interface to permit servers interoperability and data sources not only at visualization level but by means of complex GIS analyses.
